On Friday, March 15th at 6:00 PM, the municipal amphitheater of Galtellì (NU) will host the first meeting of “Einstein Telescope meets the residents”, a series of meetings with the population of the neighboring municipalities in the area of Sos Enattos, the candidate site to host the Einstein Telescope. The initiative aims to facilitate direct dialogue between experts and the public, to increase awareness about what the Einstein Telescope will entail and address legitimate concerns of citizens regarding the impact this infrastructure may have on the territory.

In Galtellì, Alessandro Cardini, director of the Cagliari section of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), Domenico D’Urso (University of Sassari and INFN), scientific coordinator of ET Italy, and Andrea Contu (INFN Cagliari), scientific coordinator of ET Cagliari, will meet the citizens. The schedule for upcoming meetings is being finalized.
