The Regional Government has approved the criteria for allocating €4.4 million to urban regeneration in Lula, Bitti, Onanì and Orune, thus supporting the Sos Enattos candidacy with a concrete investment in the quality of the places and communities involved.
The funds, provided for under the 2026 Regional Stability Law, will be divided equally among the four municipalities, with a maximum of €1.1 million each. The funding can be used to restore public buildings and urban spaces, develop green infrastructure, strengthen places for community engagement and inclusion, and improve safety, accessibility and urban quality.

«The Sos Enattos candidacy must also become a project for territorial growth and institutional synergy», Spanedda continued. «With these resources, the Region is providing concrete support to the municipalities, enabling them to take action in their urban centres, restore heritage and public spaces, and improve services. This is how a major international challenge can translate into tangible benefits for local communities».
The initiative is part of the regional strategy supporting the candidacy, which is already backed by dedicated governance and by the Agreement signed with the four municipalities directly involved: Lula, Bitti, Onanì and Orune.
The projects must be integrated and serve the public interest, be consistent with the environmental and historical-cultural characteristics of the areas, and address the needs of local communities, including by tackling situations of degradation, abandonment and the loss of urban functions.
