Rotary Quartu Sant’Elena and the Rotary Clubs of the metropolitan city of Cagliari are organizing a conference and panel discussion about the candidacy of the Sos Enattos area to host the Einstein Telescope. The event, which will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. at the T-Hotel in Cagliari, with free admission, aims to address the main issues (scientific, technological, economic, social, environmental) revolving around the Einstein Telescope project, with particular reference to the opportunities it may open in Sardinia and the area concerned.

Conference

Alessandro Cardini, INFN Cagliari director: “What is Einstein Telescope”;

Gaetano Schillaci, INFN – Laboratorio Nazionali del Sud, R.U.P. for the PNRR ETIC project: “Where does the work stand”;

Bachisio Bandinu, anthropologist and writer: “Two cultures coming together”.

Round table discussion

With Mario Calia (mayor of Lula), Pasquale Mereu (mayor of Orgosolo), Federica Govoni (INAF – Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari director), Maurizio Boi (Consorzio Leonardo administrator), Sandro Catta (National Council of Engineers with delegation to LL.PP.), Bachisio Bandinu, Alessandro Cardini and Gaetano Schillaci.
