As part of the MITI project (Multimessenger Infrastructures and Technologies in Italy), which aims to develop enabling technologies and strengthen a network of Italian research laboratories for Einstein Telescope (ET), a delegation from ET Italia took part in the 17th edition of the Borsa della Ricerca Forum, an annual event promoted by the Emblema Foundation to foster exchanges and collaboration between the research community and industry. The Forum was held at the Benedictine Monastery of Catania from 19 to 21 October.
During the event, ET Italia representatives took part in business-to-business (B2B) meetings with Italian and multinational companies to present opportunities for collaboration in developing technological solutions in areas relevant to ET, ranging from logistics and energy to sensors, mechanical engineering and many other fields.
Meetings with companies will continue in the future as part of MITI, which also aims to develop a national strategy to promote technology transfer between industry and academia, in view of the possible construction of ET in Italy.
