A week full of events, spanning international, national, and local initiatives, will place the Einstein Telescope project center stage. The program begins on May 4 in Stockholm, at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, with a two-day workshop dedicated to the science and technology of gravitational wave detection. The meeting, co-organized by KTH Royal Institute of Technology and the Italian Embassy in Sweden, will be attended, among others, by Antonio Zoccoli, Roberto Ragazzoni, and Fabio Florindo, presidents of INFN, INAF, and INGV, together with researchers as well as institutional representatives from KTH and numerous international institutes and universities.
On Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 PM, in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Orune, a meeting with the public will be held to present the activities of the National Institute for Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) currently underway in the area, as part of the project connected to the Italian candidacy for the Einstein Telescope. In particular, there will be discussion of an upcoming helicopter survey over the territories of the municipalities of Lula, Bitti, Onanì, and Orune, scheduled in the coming weeks, aimed at studying the geological structure of the subsoil.
On Friday, May 8 at 5:00 PM, a new event in the series “ET Meets the Residents” will take place at the G.P. Meloni Municipal Theatre on Via Sardegna, in the municipality of San Teodoro.
