This year too, Einstein Telescope (ET) will be present at the Cagliari Science Festival. The 18th edition of the festival is dedicated to the concept of interconnection (“Tramas”) and will take place from 6 to 11 November 2025.

The new gravitational-wave observatory will be built in Europe in the next decade, and the Sardinian site of Sos Enattos, in the Nuoro area – a location with unique geological and scientific characteristics – is a candidate to host the infrastructure.
In a talk entitled “Einstein Telescope: where do we stand?”, Domenico D’Urso (professor at the University of Sassari and Scientific coordinator of ET Italy) will present the project and research prospects.
The event will also be an opportunity to take stock, both of the scientific activities already underway at Sos Enattos and of the present status of the candidacy.
The talk will take place on Friday 7 November at 4 PM in the Conference Hall of Exma.
The complete festival programme is available at this link.

In parallel, from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 November, “Magie d’Inverno”. the biennial event organised by the cultural association Rosas 1945 Eventi, returns to Nuoro. Now in its 11th edition, the event is a showcase of excellence for the cultural, tourist and economic promotion of the area,  a context in which Einstein Telescope naturally fits.
The project of the future gravitational-wave observatory will in fact be at the centre of a meeting with Alessandro Cardini (Director of INFN Cagliari), Andrea Contu (INFN researcher and ET Sardegna Coordinator) and Monique Bossi (Infrastructure Manager of the NRRP ETIC project).
The discussion will be moderated by Matteo Serra (ET Italy). The event is scheduled for Saturday 8 November at 6 PM at the Centro Polifunzionale in Via Roma.
