From Friday, July 26 to Sunday, November 24, the San Michele Castle in Cagliari is hosting the exhibition “Einstein Telescope, listening to the universe”, dedicated to showcase the scientific challenges related to the future gravitational wave observatory and Italy’s candidacy to host it.

The exhibition – designed and produced by Orientare srl, and curated in collaboration with the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) – is organized into nine thematic macro-areas. Several textual, photographic and audiovisual contents accompany visitors on a journey starting from Albert Einstein and his theory of general relativity, moving through gravitational waves and the great scientific prospects opened by their discovery, and finally telling the story of the Einstein Telescope project and the Sos Enattos site, candidate to host the experiment.

The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday, July 26, following a press conference, and will be open during the Castle’s visiting hours: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 8 PM (hours may change during the autumn period). Admission to the Castle requires an entrance ticket, costing 6 euros.
