The Einstein Telescope project will take center stage at the seventeenth edition of the Cagliari Science Festival, held from November 7 to 12. The event is scheduled for Friday, November 8, at 6:45 PM, at the Radio X Social Club bar of EXMA. In the context of “Festival Off”, the scientific aperitif of the festival, Domenico D’Urso (University of Sassari and INFN), Federica Govoni (INAF), and Carlo Giunchi (INGV) will present “From the Subsoil to the Universe: All the Science of the Einstein Telescope,” in dialogue with Matteo Serra (INFN, ET Italia Communication).
In line with the the key word of this edition – “Contaminating” – the meeting aims to illustrate and enhance the multidisciplinary nature of the project.

The Einstein Telescope experiment, for which Sardinia is a candidate host in the Sos Enattos site in the Nuoro area, represents a perfect example of a multidisciplinary project, which requires very different scientific skills. From fundamental physics to astrophysics, and even geology, we’ll explore the many challenges to face in a unique scientific enterprise.
