On Thursday, January 30th, at 4:30 PM, the event “Einstein Telescope – Challenges and Opportunities for the Territory” will take place at the Cinema Teatro Ariston in Bitti. The event is organized by the Centre For North South Economic Research (CRENoS) in collaboration with the National Institute for Nuclear Physics and the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari, and with the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.

This conference is part of the CRENoS annual meeting, which this year will be held in Bitti from January 30th to February 1st, with a rich schedule of work sessions, and will see the participation of over 60 researchers, many of whom are from Sardinia’s two universities.

The event will provide an opportunity for dialogue between institutions and experts to discuss the scientific, economic, and infrastructural implications of this ambitious project, with a focus on its potential impact on the development of Sardinia.
The discussion will also emphasize the importance of effective governance to support and promote the candidacy of the Sos Enattos site as the location for the future Einstein Telescope gravitational wave observatory.
